Live Concert: The Future History of Jazz

Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble brings their FREE “Jazz Up, Down and Around” concert series to AAMP with a performance that brings the past, present and future of jazz together for an afternoon of family friendly fun.

Listen in as The Philadelphia Clef Club Youth Jazz Ensemble shows their stuff and then jams with Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble to show that the future history of jazz is in good hands!

Join AAMP for a day of family-friendly activities celebrating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans at the close of the Civil War! Crafts, music, fellowship and fun will mark this day.

Take a walking tour of historic downtown, featuring sites of importance to Philadelphia's early African and African American community; participate in a book-making project inspired by Fanny Jackson Coppin; interact with a historical re-enactor; try on and try out objects from our two Trailblazers to Freedom Traveling Trunks; and more!
