RomonaHeadshotA Message From AAMP President & CEO

Greetings!

This spring and summer promise to be an eventful time here at AAMP. We are extremely excited to end our transformational $4.5 million renovation project with the completion of the front entrance and streetscape.  If you are not able to join us for the grand-reopening celebration on June 16th, we hope that you will make the time to stop by and experience the fresh new look of AAMP.

I am especially pleased to share news of some exciting partnerships with outstanding organizations in our region, starting with the premiere of Trailblazers to Freedom.  Developed in collaboration with Comcast, AAMP and the School District of Philadelphia by Interpret Green, Trailblazers to Freedom is the first ever integration of Digital Interactive Educational Media in a traveling trunk educational program. We especially commend Comcast for their generous support of this ground-breaking program.

Interact Theatre is one of Philadelphia’s most outstanding cultural institutions.  We are pleased to partner with them to allow supporters of both of our organizations to enjoy some tremendous cross-promotional opportunities in conjunction Interact’s bold and powerful production of BLACK PEARL SINGS.

Finally, we look forward to seeing you at this year’s West Oak Lane Jazz Festival, taking place during Juneteenth Weekend, June 18-20.  AAMP will present the Art Pavilion, offering a host of activities for the entire family.  The festival, which takes place in the area of 72nd and Ogontz, has become a summer staple in the Philadelphia region.

As always, we thank you for your continued support and remind you that now is a great time to renew your membership. Also, please remember to encourage your family and friends to visit and consider joining the AAMP family.
